# Samsara Integration

### Connection Overview

*In order for MacroPoint to establish connection, we need an API token and a group ID*

## Instructions:

**Creating API Tokens:** 

1. Click ‘Settings’ from the top menu
2. Click ‘API Tokens’ found under the Advanced sub-menu
3. Click ‘+ Add an API Token’
4. Name the API Token and click ‘Save’
5. Obtain/Provide the Group ID and API Access Token found under the “Documentation / Example API calls” section
6. Once the API taken and group ID is located, please email them to your Descartes MacroPoint Activations Consultant.
7. Truck identifiers used are 'Vehicle Names' as listed in the portal
